Lamezia International Film Fest

From 13 to 18 July 2026, Piazzetta San Domenico in Lamezia Terme hosts the thirteenth edition of the Lamezia International Film Fest (LIFF), an event dedicated to contemporary cinema and dialogue between filmmakers, professionals and the public.The theme chosen for the 2026 edition, “Luce dei miei occhi” (Light of my eyes), runs through the entire festival programme, offering a reflection on the gaze of cinema as an instrument of knowledge, storytelling and interpretation of reality.Among the announced guests is the director and Oscar winner Claude Lelouch, who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award and will be the star of a meeting dedicated to his artistic career, followed by a screening of the film Finalement, presented at the 81st Venice International Film Festival.There will also be a space for Katia Follesa, one of the most popular actresses, presenters and authors on the Italian scene, who will be awarded the Paolo Villaggio Prize, an award officially supported by the family of the unforgettable Genoese actor.Alongside the screenings and meetings, the festival confirms its focus on training with the film acting masterclass led by Fabrizio Lopresti. The workshop will take participants on a practical journey that will culminate in the creation of a collective short film, presented during the event's closing evening.An event that continues to consolidate the role of Lamezia Terme as a point of reference for independent and international cinema in the cultural landscape of Southern Italy.
