Tale of Place

From June 13 to August 10, 2026, Roccella Ionica hosts Tale of Place – Doha tells the story of Roccella Ionica, an exhibition project that fosters a dialogue between cultures, landscapes, and artistic visions from different geographical backgrounds. The exhibition offers an original interpretation of the territory through the works of 44 artists from Qatar, invited to engage with the identity, memory, and atmosphere of this town on the Riviera dei Gelsomini. Images, sounds, and narratives intertwine in a journey that invites the public to observe familiar places from new perspectives, highlighting the tangible and intangible heritage of Calabria. The inauguration is scheduled for Saturday, June 13 at 6:00 PM at the Convento dei Minimi, while on Sunday, June 14 at 6:00 PM, the catalog presentation will take place at the Castello Carafa, accompanied by a musical performance.
