Sagra della Cucuzza 2026

From July 24th to 26th, 2026, one of the most anticipated summer events in the Sila mountains returns: the 27th edition of the Sagra della Cucuzza. Set in the picturesque location of Croce di Magara, these three days celebrate the authentic flavors of peasant tradition, featuring the 'cucuzza' (long squash) through food stalls, cultural initiatives, excursions, live music, and activities for all ages. An event that blends taste, nature, and local identity, highlighting the excellence of Sila and the heritage of the local community.

Friday, July 24th: The event kicks off at 5:00 PM with the official opening. At 6:30 PM, attend the conference 'Sustainable Agriculture and Return Tourism.' Food stalls serving traditional cucuzza dishes and Sila specialties open at 7:30 PM, followed by a 9:00 PM concert by the Pink Floyd tribute band, Crazy Diamond.

Saturday, July 25th: The day begins at 10:00 AM with a guided nature hike by the Sila National Park Guides. In the afternoon at 5:30 PM, there are environmental education activities for children. From 7:30 PM, enjoy Sila Street Food, followed by a 9:00 PM performance by the Sabatum Quartet.

Sunday, July 26th: The final day starts at 11:00 AM with an institutional conference on the role of Pro Loco in local development, followed by lunch at 12:30 PM.
