Festival della Ginestra

Bocchigliero celebrates one of the most authentic symbols of its territory with the "Festival della Ginestra," scheduled for Saturday, July 11, 2026, starting at 4:30 PM in Piazza del Popolo. Promoted by the Pro Loco Bocchigliero, the initiative aims to highlight the broom plant, which is deeply connected to the history, landscape, and traditions of this Sila village, painting the countryside and green expanses in vibrant colors during this time of year. The festival is set to become an annual event dedicated to preserving local traditions and rediscovering the community's cultural identity through workshops, tastings, folk performances, and activities rooted in popular knowledge.
