La Guarimba International Film Festival

From August 7th to 12th, 2026, Amantea hosts the 14th edition of La Guarimba International Film Festival, Italy's premier short film festival. Year after year, this event continues to bring cinema back to the people and people back to the cinema, fostering a communal, inclusive spirit deeply rooted in the Calabrian territory. Beyond screenings, the festival features workshops, meet-and-greets, and performances, transforming Amantea into an open-air cultural laboratory. Enjoy community lunches, guided tours of the historic center, and sessions dedicated to the best cultural experiences born in Calabria. The festival concludes with the presentation of the “Vitaliano Camarca” Audience Award, honoring a key figure in the festival's history.
