Verso Sud - Mediterranean Film Festival

Verso Sud – Mediterranean Film Festival returns to Reggio di Calabria this summer, enriching the CatonaTeatro program and transforming the Arena Alberto Neri into a vibrant meeting place for cultures, languages, and stories from across the Mediterranean. From July to August 2026, the festival presents a curated selection of auteur films, independent productions, documentaries, and award-winning works that explore Southern Italy and the 'Souths' of the world. The program offers audiences a unique opportunity to reflect on themes of identity, migration, social transformation, and intercultural dialogue. Featuring a mix of Italian and international productions, the festival highlights both established directors and emerging voices in contemporary cinema. Each screening is a journey through landscapes and narratives that unite the Mediterranean.
